This is the Eldo TT Cup

The Eldo TT Cup is an individual time trial series held at El Dorado Park in Long Beach, California.
Riders compete for the fastest time each race and accumulate points toward the overall series standings. Unlike traditional road racing, time trials strip cycling down to its purest form — one rider, one course, and the clock.

Often called the “race of truth,” time trials remove drafting, tactics, and pack dynamics. The only thing that matters is how fast you can ride the course. The Eldo TT Cup was created to give riders a dedicated space to test their fitness, refine their pacing, and measure improvement throughout the season.

Additional junior and women's categories may also be included depending on participation.

You do not need specialized equipment to participate — many riders start on standard road bikes and focus on improving their pacing and fitness.

Overall prizes will be awarded to category winners!

Come out each week to test how you are progressing along with chances to win specialty prizes from one of our amazing sponsors!

The Eldo TT Cup welcomes riders of all experience levels and equipment setups. Separate categories ensure fair competition whether you're riding a dedicated time trial bike or a standard road bike.

Typical categories include:

Open Category

For riders using time trial bikes or triathlons bikes with aerodynamic equipment.

Merckx (Road Bike) Category

For riders competing on standard road bikes without aero extensions, emphasizing pure rider power and positioning.

Part of the Eldo Racing Tradition

The time trial runs alongside the Eldo Crit Series, one of Southern California’s longest-standing weekly cycling events. While the criterium races focus on pack racing and tactics, the TT Cup offers a different challenge — a focused effort where every rider competes directly against the clock.

Together, the two formats create a unique race environment where riders can experience both team-based racing and individual performance testing in the same venue.
